NIV Thinline Premier Collection Bible Review

Updated: Jun 4

NIV Coral Pink Bible

If you've been here a while, you know I love Jesus. I also love God's Word and studying it. Last year, I purchased the ESV Interleaved Journaling Bible, and it's been one of my favorite Bibles I've ever used. I love all of the space for notes and journaling. But, it's really big. It weighs, like, five pounds! And it's hard to carry around at church. It doesn't fit in a bag easily either. So, I started looking into other options.

In late 2022, Zondervan released a new premium Bible--in pink! I'm your stereotypical girl and I had to have it. However, it's pricey, coming in at $229.00. While looking on Amazon for Bible, and other things, I came across it once again, but it was half the retail price. I finally purchased it and it was swiftly delivered to my door in two days. Thanks Amazon Prime!

The Bible comes in a two-piece box, wrapped in paper. It was so fun to open. The first thing I noticed was the color. It's absolutely stunning! The second thing I noticed is how soft the cover is. It's supple, goatskin leather, with a nice grain. I'm not a premium Bible expert, but this is high quality. While the Word is wonderful and life-changing in any cover, I love knowing my Bibles will most likely outlive me. I want them to be passed down to my children and grandchildren.

It also has a gold foil floral design on the spine, with raised hubcaps. It is Smyth-sewn, which ensures your pages won't fall out easily. The stunning Bible also features floral gauffered page edging, with is one of my favorite part of the design. It also includes THREE double-sided satin ribbon markers. I love when my Bible has more than one ribbon, and in a thin-line, three is very generous.

On to the paper. It is premium paper, at 36 GSM. It is all black-letter text with blue accents, in a 9 point font. Zondervan has their own exclusive font, called "Comfort Print". I really love how readable it is. The translation is in the NIV, which I don't usually read (I like the ESV and CSB best), but it is much easier to process, which is nice. Sometimes, I don't want to dig deep and study, so having the option of an easier translation is helpful when I just want to read scripture.

What do you guys think? Would you use a pink Bible? If you want to see similar content, let me know. I have quite a few Bibles to review. Don't forget to subscribe!
